Stepping back in time, this honeymoon experience will take us to the ancient Mayan ceremonial center, built in the year 445 A.D...

During our visit to Celestun we're going to hire an expert bird-watching guide to point out all the rare birds in the region.

Our past experience has taught us to hire a private guide. You miss so many things otherwise! Your gift will provide that guide for us where we learn everything from the flora and fauna to the animals and other birds we would have not spotted otherwise. And maybe if we're lucky we'll get peed on by a monkey like we did in Costa Rica last summer. (Are there monkeys in Mexico?)

One of the best ways for us to get in touch with nature in the rainforest is via a kayak tour through the mangroves of the Sian Ka'an Reserve. The wildlife is made up of birds, mammals such as monkeys and coatis, multicolored fish and some reptiles. This will be a relaxing fun honeymoon day to remember!

Yes, Cancun is a bit of a party town, so why not go out dancing with everyone else? We'll find a lively place where there's dancing and good food and we'll have a blast. Maybe Steve can show Lisa some of his smoothe dance moves, eh?

Imagine us on our honeymoon soaring high above the ocean with spectacular views of Cancun. Not only is this thrilling adventure effortless. We don’t even have to get wet!

We're hiring a our own personal bird-watching guide to take us on a fabulous boat ride to see the Flamingos at Park Rio Lagartos.

What could be more romantic and relaxing than sailing through the turquoise Caribbean waters on an elegant yacht? We will enjoy the beautiful landscape together on our honeymoon sail.

Steve's been scuba diving for years, but this will be Lisa's first venture out since she certified last Fall. During our three 2-tank dives we look forward to scuba diving in crystal clear, warm waters where the marine life is abundant. The magnificent corals, and the sea crustaceans of a thousand colors will amaze us. Each 2-tank dive includes the tanks, the boat, rental of our equipment and lunch on the boat.

We'll glide into the warm and crystal clear waters of the Caribbean while marveling at exquisite ocean creatures and the natural surrounding beauty of Xcaret! On this day trip we will have the thrill of swimming with the dolphins, meeting them face to face and taking home a honeymoon photo to reflect a perfect memory of a great day!

We'll be swimming with the sea turtles at Isla de Cozumel.

This is a paradise that we have only seen in our dreams! We look forward to this once in a lifetime honeymoon trip being guided by a gentle current through the 2000 ft. spectacular underground river. We will explore archaeological monuments while learning about exotic flora and fauna at the botanical gardens and visit the aviary, the butterfly pavilion and the fascinating aquarium to feed tropical fish as we snorkel in a crystal clear sparkling lagoon abundant with marine life. Next, we’ll take a deserved siesta on a hammock under the shade of a palm tree. All of this is possible at Xcaret!

With this honeymoon tour, we will experience the uniqueness of Tulum, the only walled city built by the Mayans. We will witness its temples perched on cliffs overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Next, we will cool off by snorkeling among schools of tropical fish in Xel-Ha, the world's largest natural aquarium.

We will choose from one of the many casual restaurants set on the beach. Then kick back and enjoy a local dish, the fun atmosphere, a refreshing cool drink, and great views.

The catch of the day awaits us! As seafood lovers it will be hard to choose from the different types of seafood restaurants and the variety of fresh fish, all complemented by delectable side dishes, fresh vegetables, and an incredible selection of wines. A delicious treat!

What could be better than spending our first morning as husband and wife? Well, by having breakfast in bed, of course! We'll start our lives together by ordering eggs, crispy bacon, coffee cake and freshly squeezed orange juice to celebrate the first morning where Lisa can forget about the diet. (Well, for now, at least.)

So, wonder who will feed whom the grapes? We'd love to have a basket of fruit at our hotel, not just to feed to each other, but to grab and go as we hop from one adventure to another. Having a basket of fruit from the hotel is always a delightful treat and certainly helps us feel at home away from home.

We love to spice things up! We'll pick the most fabulous Mexican food restaurant in town, reserve our table and savor South of the Border tacos, tamales and other authentic Mexican favorites all topped off with some fresh salsa. Ole!

We look forward to reserving an intimate candlelit dinner. We'll choose a quiet restaurant with a warm atmosphere, outstanding cuisine and impeccable service.

At our favorite Steak House, we'll reserve a table so we can tantalize our tastebuds! We'll choose from an array of prime aged steaks, chops, bone-In New York, filet mignon, double pork chops and racks of lamb. All choices are grilled the classic way juicy, tender, with the flavors developed fully. This is a sanctuary for us steak aficionados. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

With so many ice cream parlors in town, we'll try everything from hot fudge sundaes to soft serve ice cream and thick milkshakes. Who cares about the diet on our fantastic getaway!

We would love to shop around for our favorite piece of art as a cherished keepsake from our once in a lifetime trip. This gift will adorn our home for many years to come!

We will browse the boutique store and pick up a few local handicrafts and souvenirs as mementoes from our honeymoon.

Plenty of time will be spent in the sun, so we won't let the rays ruin our perfect trip. Sunscreens and lotions will soothe and protect our skin.

This camera will allow us to capture even the most elusive marine life. This is the perfect gift for us - the warm water tropical travelers.

When we say "We're going to be all over the Yucatan," we mean it! And that means we're going to be going not just to the beach, but birding, exploring, and maybe just pretend like we're Indiana Jones, so rather than getting stuck in some little sedan we want it to seem like loads of fun--even when we're driving.

We return from our honeymoon around midnight and we don't have the heart to ask friends or family to pick us up so late. And we'll be too tired to deal with shuttle service or a cab. It will be nice having the man in the suit waiting for us at the airport with our names on his clipboard as we descend from the escalator, weary from the plane trip back, but still deliriously in love, of course.
