This much-anticipated excursion allows us to leave all traces of civilization behind, and experience the beauty of Alaska's remote glaciers accessible only by air. We will soar into a rugged region of mountains to experience the rare opportunity to explore one of Mother Nature�s greatest marvels. Once we set foot on the glacier�s surface, it will be the adventure of a lifetime as we take a guided walking tour and play in the snow.

Since the national sport of Alaska is dog sledding, we know we have to see these beautiful animals in action! So, we�re going to visit Goose Lake Kennel to play with the puppies! Just a few miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park, this is the home of nearly 75 dog sled champions and champions-in-training. This visit includes a demonstration on training huskies with the use of a dog-powered carousel, hearing tales of life and endurance on the Iditarod trail, and many puppy hugs and kisses.

A couple’s massage is our favorite way to be pampered, so we try to treat ourselves once a year. This would be the ideal way to spend a day at-sea on the ship!

This is one of Alaska’s most thrilling rafting experiences! The 11-mile stretch includes many Class III and Class IV rapids with names like Razorback, Ice Worm, Royal Flush and Coffee Grinder. The rafting company only provides the (smelly) wet/dry suits and booties because paddles are not necessary—all we have to do is hang-on!

This tour is a chance to capture a magical moment on our honeymoon. Surrounded by Alaska's majestic scenery we'll enjoy the tour to Juneau, and a Jet boat ride to see the amazing whales and other marine mammals. We will need our camera for this one!

After our long travels, we will be looking forward to getting to our cozy hotel to relax and re-fuel for the 10-day land/sea tour ahead.

Once the ship drops us off in Vancouver, we have one more night of honeymoon bliss before our long trip back home. In the city that will host the 2010 Winter Olympics, there are so many things to do, places to see, and food to eat! Suggestions are welcome for the best British Columbian experience!

There will be very little opportunity to share a quiet romantic meal once we board the cruise ship, so this will be one (or two) very special celebrations for us. With what appears to be many menus focused on a salmon cuisine in the coming days, one of us will especially appreciate this occasion.

Sabatini’s is Princess’ upscale dining option with a menu specializing in Italian cuisine and premium seafood. While all other dining options carry no additional charge, there is a “cover” to enjoy this refined atmosphere. This will be our dress-up night!

Our honeymoon continues with a 7-day cruise on the 952 ft., 2,670-passenger Diamond Princess. We will enjoy some scenic cruising through Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay on our first few days at sea. Then it�s on to Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, with our final stop in Vancouver. Ken has never been on a cruise before, so the moment that boat pulls away from the port, it will be quite the experience!

The time has finally come! We�ve waited 6 weeks from our wedding day to leave for the perfect honeymoon to Alaska! We�ll travel over 3800 miles from Orlando to Anchorage on May 25th to a state that is twice the size of Texas! Alaska is also home to over half of the world�s glaciers and the tallest mountain in North America, Mt. Denali.

Our newlywed adventure begins in Anchorage, aboard a glass-domed railcar that travels into the heart of the Alaskan wilderness. We will be surrounded by the majestic scenery we've always dreamed of, while onboard guides offer their expert commentary. This tour includes two nights in the Denali National Park with Mount McKinley just outside our door.

You just never know what you'll discover on vacation--but we want to make sure we have the pictures to show you! Based on all of our research, this is the best camera for budget shutterbugs! Because this is small and quick--with better picture quality from what we have--this will certainly be the most important item we pack for the big trip.
