Doug and Sarah met at work. He flirted with her mercilessly by ignoring and teasing her constantly. She recripricated with dazzling smiles and witty repoirte. They share a love for BSG, free cable, broccoli, waterfalls, tennis, and Zantigos. Contrary to this list of items they actually share a very dynamic, ecclectic and intellectual life together with her three cats from a previous relationship. Doug said he knew she was the one for him when she said "I like Dr. Who." She said she knew he was the one when he said "I wrote my honors thesis on forgiveness." She loves to cook him food, he loves to eat it. That's love.

We are getting married at the Solera Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, in front of family and friends. Sarah's sister Megan is her Maid of Honor and Doug's Best Man is his best friend from childhood, Mike. There will be a professional opera singer in honor of Sarah's father Oscar who is unable to attend. Our mother's will each be doing readings. We will exchange vows, rings, and kiss and be Mr. and Mrs. Doug and Sarah Scribner.

While we have our photos taken, guests will head downstairs to the hors d' oeuvres and cocktails before the delicious dinner. Solera specializes in Spanish cuisine with a twist of Mediterranean flair. We expect to dance and party without a chicken dance in site. Valet parking is complimentary, and we can stay late. We are booking some rooms at a hotel nearby and will update everyone further when the arrangments have been finalized.

We will be leaving for our honeymoon a day after the wedding and flying to Cancun Mexico. We will then go South to Tulum. We're are staying at Zamas, a beach hotel. Zammá, the original name for Tulum, means new beginnings, as in sunrise or tomorrow. It is the Mayan Word from which ZAMAS derives its name. Situated south of the Tulum Archeological site, ZAMAS' thatch roof bungalows blend beautifully with the elements of sea and sand. We plan on snorkeling, enjoing fresh seafood, hiking ruins, and checking out cenote's.

Thank you so much for the warm wishes. We appreciate all the kind sentiments from all our family and friends. We are truly blessed. Thank you for being flexible in your thinking- we were not expecting to change venues, but are glad we did. What is most important is sharing this day with all of you.
