Karen and Rob Knight had been trying to set us up for quite a while. After about 4 months of both of us avoiding a "set up" we both attended the same party at their house. A couple hours into the party, after no one had introduced us (they bugged us for months and then nothing...lol) Wade decided he wasn't waiting any longer and basically came over the top of Karen, who was talking to me, and introduced himself. Even after a poor attempt at flirting (I think his actual "pick up " line had something to do with asking me if I was the one that was "crushing" on someone else) we continued talking the rest of the night. Our conversations were interrupted periodically by Tyler coming into the kitchen were we were talking and saying things like, "so...so you guys like, LIKE each other?" and then running from the room laughing, and Wade and I left blushing. Ty even tried to take Wade home with us at one point because Wade was "too drunk to drive" according to Tyler. He wasn't, but I think maybe there was some cash flow going Ty's way for the attempt. Regardless we exchanged numbers and Ty and I went on our way ALONE. The next day Wade and I talked for hours, (actually the next several days) but we made plans for our first date after we got off work the next night. Wade surprised me at work that morning with chocolate and a diet coke (at which point I knew he was the one for me :)...) and we had our first date that night at Pinocchio's. From that point on we were inseparable, 2 months late (I know I know) we started the process of buying a house and by six months the house was build and we were officially living together. From that point on Wade kept talking about proposing in August. And why did he pick August, because in his words "It was fun to say". I told him I didn't want to know when he was going to ask and if he asked in August he wasn't going to like the answer :). We then had a battle of stubbornness and he insisted he was going to ask me every day in August and I insisted I was going to say no every day in August. He thought that would be kind of cool to be turned down 31 times so he said he was going to do it. So, on September 1st... after coming off a grave yard shift (haha I won) I woke up to a romantic dinner for 3...Ty included of course, and Wade down on one knee asking me to marry him. Both of us now in tears...of course I said yes...and here were are today inviting you all to share in the beginning of our lives together as husband and wife
We have tentatively decided on which garden we are going to be married in. The wedding and the reception are both at Rancho San Rafael Park. For now the wedding site is the garden directly below the Ranch House. Honey's Garden is scheduled to be under constructions (the one with the waterfall) but if for some reason it is completed on time and open the day of our wedding the wedding will be moved down to that garden. For those not from the area: Take I-80 to Virginia Street and turn north on Virginia. Turn west onto 9th Street and then north again onto Sierra Street. Rancho San Rafael is on the west side of the street, you can't miss it.

The wedding attire is business casual (tie or no tie) and is at 5:30 PM
The reception is immediately following the wedding and is in the Ranch House. The Ranch House is the large 2 story house just behind the 1st parking lot as you enter the park. There will be hors d'voirs served (no dinner), cake and drinks (wine, beer, champagne, soda and yes, some hard stuff). The house is set up divided into several rooms, so there will be music (probably via an ipod) for dancing in one, food in another and lots of room for mingling. We have to be out of the Ranch House and have it cleaned by 10 PM so the reception will go to 9-9:30 or so. Sorry, we do realize this is a school night for some ( we actually thought school was out the 1st week of June). For those needing it there are several hotel/casinos in the area to stay and taxi services.
It's Reno...we have it all...airports, hotels, taxis, limo's if your spunky, if you need help feel free to give us a call. Just down the road is the Silver Legacy, the Eldorado and Harrahs...all of which we have been told are decent to stay at.

We hope everyone can attend. If you can't we understand. Thank you for celebrating the beginning of our new lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Wade Clark.
