Our story is rather long & complicated. We've had alot of ups & downs---definitely more ups! We met 2 yrs ago at our church. One of the things that attracted me to him the most was his love for God. One evening in May, after a few games of fuseball with our girls, Kevin asked if Kaytlynn & I would like to go get something to eat with him & Shelby. We went to Frisch's & talked forever-just getting to know each other while our girls continuously made us laugh just being goofy. I loved watching what a great dad he was with Shelby.
We spent quite a bit of time together that summer. Mostly fishing & swimming at the church pond with the kids. Kevin's son Taylor came to live with him that summer. He has been a blessing!
We both walk with God, but it wasn't long before we stumbled & fell into temptation. But God is amazing & He takes what the enemy means for harm & uses it for good! Last August we were blessed with Riley Rose!
Long, long story short- once we finally submitted our relationship to the Lord, He began to work out the kinks & within 2 weeks Kevin announced he would be buying me a ring. We decided to start making wedding plans & here we are!
Thank you so much to everyone who has prayed with us & for us. We love you so much!!! God bless you all!!!!!
P.S. Kevin has had very little opportunity to travel in his life so I want to bless him by surprising with an awesome honeymoon! We'll be staying in Sedona, AZ-2hrs south of the Grand Canyon! He's gonna be so blown away! He thinks we are going to my uncle's condo in Gaylord. SSHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Well, we originally agreed to have a small & simple wedding......yeah..........doesn't look like that's happening! That's ok. This is our big day & we want all of our loved ones to share it with us!
We've really been blessed all the way through the planning. We've only been planning since March. We've gotten alot done. The Lord has led me to some AMAZING deals! We really wouldn't be able to afford this wedding otherwise!
I think my cousin, Tara, is going to be singing a song for our Grandma & Grandpa's 60th wedding anniversary which is August 14th & my other Grandma & Grandpa's 56th which is June 14th!
We will be having Riley dedicated to the Lord during the ceremony!
Don't worry-it won't be a long drawn out ceremony-only about 30-35 minutes! I don't really want to stand up there in front of all of you for an hour or more anyway!!!!!
Don't want to give too much away......guess you'll have to make sure you make it to the wedding!
Saturday, August 9, 2008 @ 2:00 p.m.

The reception will be in the church gymnasium immediately following the ceremony until 6p.m.. It'll be picnic style---hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. Guests will have access to the back yard of the church. There's a pond for swimming & fishing. I think the sand volleyball court will be open. Definitely bring a change of clothes for yourself &/or children. Have fun and enjoy yourself!!!!
Also, afterwards, we'll be heading over to the Legacy for music & dancing! For the drinkers-there will be a cash bar. Please make arrangements for a designated driver! No tragedies on my wedding day!

Well, let’s see...the night of the wedding, hopefully Kevin still has no idea, we’ll be driving to Detroit where there is already a hotel room reserved. We’ll stay there overnight & a shuttle will take us to the airport in the morning (tickets have already been paid for). We take off for Phoenix, AZ (way cheaper to fly into) a little after 10a.m. We’ll arrive in Phoenix at 11a.m. their time.
From there, a shuttle will take us to the airport Enterprise location where there is already a car rental reserved. We will drive about 2 hrs north to Sedona, AZ. This is where we will be staying in a B&B called Casa Sedona. It was designed by an artist to blend in with the Red Rock Country of that region!
With everyone’s help, we’ll be able to do all of the activities that are planned. We’re going to go horseback riding, lift off in a hot air balloon at sunrise over the Sedona Red Rock Mts., raft 15 miles down the Colorado River through 6,000 ft high Grand Canyon walls (we’ll even get to experience a few rapids)! Kevin has always wanted to ride in a helicopter, so we’re going to take a heli tour over the Grand Canyon! And finally, I’m not much into golf, but Kevin loves it so we’re going to rent some clubs and play a round or two.
We’ll leave Fri. Morning & drive back to Phoenix & we’ll be on our way home, back in time for Riley's 1st birthday!

I would like to thank each & every one of you for loving us, praying for us & supporting us! We truly could not be doing any of this without you! We are very grateful to the Lord that you are all of part of our lives. With my sincerest appreciation, thank you again & again for making this special time in our lives possible for us!
JUST IN CASE-for anyone who didn’t already know-this honeymoon is a SURPRISE for Kevin! He thinks we’re going to Gaylord. He’s going to be so blown away & I could never accomplish this without all of you! We love you all! Thank you again & may God bless you abundantly!!!!!!
