Marvin and I met in Hawaii... Neither one of us were looking for our future spouse, we were enjoying single life and I was getting ready to move to Japan... Texas hold-em brought us together, this was the first chance we got to spend time together outside of work. When I returned a month later for a few weeks temporary duty, we both were attracted and thought that maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to see where it would go, if anywhere. We were very compatible and always enjoyed each others company, a few months after we started dating, we went to Vegas for a short vacation in December. That is when we both realized that this just might be something worth holding on to...maybe it was all the oxygen pumped in to the casino's, but whatever it was, it lasted through the New Year. Here we are one year later, ready to be together forever and we can't imagine our lives without the other. He grounds me, and I keep him on his toes. There is never a dull moment, and we fit together perfectly. We already feel married in our hearts and can not wait to get married with all of you as witnesses in front of God. Thank you for making this the most special time of our lives.

We would like to invite everyone to a family dinner with us after the ceremony at Blu Water Grill. We have an update to Blu Water Grill! We have the lanai reserved for 80 people so please do not call, if you do, they will not give you a reservation. Marvin is working with the party planner and doing some smoozing and if all goes well and we get what we want, that is less for you all to do. We will let you know if it goes back to the original plan. Keep your fingers crossed. :)
There will be a Full wedding reception on 21 Aug from 10am to 10pm at Bellows. Lunch, appetizers, dinner and drinks will be provided. The Bride and Groom will be announced at 1100 am, a champagne toast will follow as well as the first dance. Lunch will be served around 1200. Appetizers will be available between lunch and dinner. Dinner will be served at 6pm, cake will be cut around 7:30pm. Bar will be open at 1200pm and throughout the evening until 10pm.
Casual attire encouraged, please bring beach wear if you wish to swim or to change.
We have contacted a travel agent specializing in Hawaii travel. Her name is Abby, and her contact information is 808-237-5263. She will be able to get you group rates and discounts on Airfare, hotels and rental cars. Compare prices with other agents or online, it came to my attention that Abby was not the cheapest. We encourage all of you to book the hotel for the length of your stay, even if you would like to stay at Bellows cabins. We are unsure we will be able to get the amount of cabins needed. We will know the status of the cabins 90 days prior to the wedding.That is how we have to book the cabins since it is in the summer months. We will contact you with the status immediately, at that time you will be able to cancel your hotel room at no charge to you. Please send us your dates of travel as soon as you know for coordination purposes. 4 people fit comfortably in a cabin, you can squeeze in 6, one on the couch and one on a blowup mattress or rental bed in the living room. Single folks: I will be arranging single females and males that would like to stay in the cabins or put 2 singles in with a couple. This way it will be cheaper. The cabins are about $85 per night. If you would like to view the cabins please go to www.bellowsafs.com. Singles, please note since all guests are not staying the same amount of time there may be some overlap or more expensive nights. Also, if you reserve a cabin please add a check (in your formal RSVP) for the first nights stay ($85) which is what we will need to reserve the cabin, if you are sharing a room please divide that amount up so you don't send too much. If you would like to make your own arrangements or stay at a vacation rental, you can view Oahu rentals at www.vrbo.com. If you would like to stay close to where the wedding and reception will be held, you should seek rentals at Bellows, Waimanalo, Kaneohe, Sandy Beach and Hawaii Kai areas. Those are in order of distance, closest to furthest. There is also a cottage website, thanks to Jerry waimanalobeachcottages.com that are fairly inexpensive. Please check them out. We would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for sharing our special day with us. Your presence is the biggest gift you can give us. We are looking forward to seeing and spending time with so many of our family and friends. We are just so blessed to get to share our day with so many special people, and we are truly going to miss those special friends and family who were unable to make the trip.
