| Hello friends and family!! Here is the story of "US". Kevin and I met over an internet dating site almost 3 yrs ago. It all started when I sent him a little "wink" and then waited patiently to see if he would respond. And to my pleasant surprise, he did!!!! We exchanged emails and many, many phone calls, when we finally set up our first date. It took place on Decemeber 29, 2005. We met in Daytona Beach for lunch at Cracker Barrell, we were both so nervous! After lunch we headed over to Daytona USA and toured the museum. We had our first picture then there and that picture is one that I carry on my keychain. Kevin was shocked when I slipped away to purchase our picture package. And he thought I was just going to the bathroom. ;-) After that date, I think we both knew that we had found "The One". We've been together ever since. I knew it was true love when he told me he loved me for the very first time, in my front yard, on the tailgate of his truck, just before the 2006 Superbowl started. (And he tells me I'm "country". Ha ha) But seriously, tell me that wasn't sweet.. He proposed to me Oct. 3, 2006, the night before we went on our cruise. He did it his way, all the way, and it was the sweetest proposal, ever. Even if we were in the middle of packing for our trip. Ha ha.. We've had our ups and downs, like any couple, dealt with ALOT of football (Miami and all other teams LOL) and probably done MORE TRAVELING than any couple, just so we could spend quality time with each other. And it's been completely worth it! We've shared many joys, as well as sorrow, but through it all, we've remained strong and deeply in love. We are not just lovers, but we are best friends and each others support system. There are some special people that we wish could be here to witness our happiness and marriage, the most special being our beautiful daughter, Katelyn Elizabeth. We lost her so unexpectedly August 10th, 2007. We know she's an angel watching over us, keeping us safe and she will forever be in our hearts. I know she'll be walking with me in spirit as I walk down the isle to marry her Dad. Everytime a butterfly flutters by, we think about our babygirl. Hopefully after we settle into married life, we will be blessed again with a beautiful baby and a happier outcome. Our wedding will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 4 pm under the Gazebo in Green Cove Springs Park in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Our wedding party will be made up of several dear friends. Melissa Eckman will serve as Maid of Honor and Ty Duncan will serve as Best Man. Other Bridesmaids incluce: Diane Salazar, Tiffany Stouffer and Laurel Doane. Other Groomsmen incluce: Drew Elliott, Steve Pardy and Randy (I've gotta find out his last name!). Our colors are Red and Hunter Green, to go along with the time of the year. Although if Kevin had his way, our colors would be Red and Miami Dolphin colors.. LOL Gotta love that man. Our flowers will be Red Roses and White Calla Lilies. The reception will be held from 5 pm to 10 pm at the Elk's Lodge in Green Cove Springs, Florida. There will be a cash bar, so please be sure to bring some cash with you. I'm sure we'll have punch for those non-drinkers. More than likely, our menu for the reception will consist of Kevin's all time favorite, BBQ, probably from Sonny's. We are still making arrangements and discussing the options. If anything changes, I'll post it here. Bring your party faces, dancing shoes and prepare for a good time!! For our Honeymoon, we are planning to visit Savannah, Georgia for a week. While in Georgia, we plan to tour the historic city, visit Callaway Gardens and of course, make a visit to Paula Deen's and Uncle Bubba's Crab House. YUM, YUM!!! :-) But our main focus is to enjoy our first trip away as husband and wife. We can't wait!! Thank you for taking a few moments to look at our wedding website. So many people have asked us both "What do you need?" or "Where are you registered?", and too be honest, we are combining two full households, so there really isn't anything that we NEED. So far the only place we've registered is at this wedding website which links to our "Honeymoon" registry, (since we can always put money to good use). If you would like to leave a gift here, that would be truly, truly appreciated!! We would like to say, in advance, Thank you for supporting us, as a couple and for always loving us. That means so much to both of us. We are glad we can finally share this important day with all of you. Thank you for your part in making our wedding, reception, honeymoon and life so very special!! |
