KATIE... I decided to move to San Francisco in November of 2007. After going back and forth for sometime about staying in Brooklyn I made the decision to go. Leaving Thomas was not easy but I had to do what I felt was right for me. I currently work in a non-profit group home and LOVE living in San Francisco. I like the outdoors, yoga, cooking, and dancing! Emails and phone calls to family and friends on the East Coast are a must as well as taking as many trips back home as possible. Although San Francisco may not be a permanent home, that's what I'm calling it for now.

THOMAS... Thomas followed his heart to San Francisco. After a life time in Brooklyn he decided to make the move to the West Coast and take up work and life with Katie. It wasn't easy, some people thought he may never leave Brooklyn! Z works hard as Union Laborer and couldn't be happier doing his job and earning a living. If you know Z you love him and he definitely misses his people in NY. Like his bride to be he is is calling SF home for now.

HOW WE MET... We owe it all to Tommy Rebel...and the Rub! Z was stuck outside so I snuck him in, and the rest is history. The phone calls that followed lasted for hours (literally) and there was much time invested on the couch hanging out with the kittens. Things clicked pretty quickly and we fell into a comfortable routine of being a couple.

WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED... December 24, 2007 ... While walking home along the Embarcadero after dinner Z pulled the ring out of his pocket (where it had been for days) and popped the question. Many tears, laughs, and phone calls followed... and champagne of course! I don't know if we can live up to another Christmas as exciting as that one but we'll certainly try

ABOUT THE BIG DAY

We will be getting married at the Picnic House in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. We couldn't think of anywhere else we would rather be married then right at home. It's a great location and weather permitting we will be getting married outdoors.
