In February, 2008, I moved in with the LAST great love of my life, Dr. Vita Naples. Between us, we have 5 children - ages 16-24, two dogs, and two cats. We will be married December 6, 2008. Vita is a doctor (Ph.D.) with the CDC here in Atlanta and manages the bioterrorism unit, where she directs a team of software developers who write programs to detect patterns in the United States healthcare system that could denote instances of bioterrorism. Pretty cool, eh? We met through match.com, even though we only lived 5 miles apart. We share many interests including music and travel. I've introduced her to drum & bugle corps and converted her to a "bus nut." We plan to purchase our own luxury bus conversion (like rock stars travel in) soon and spend our free time traveling the country. I've also turned her into a "biker chick" by introducing her to the Harley Davidson motorcycle fraternity of H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group).

On Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 2:00PM EST, we will be married! We're having a small civil ceremony for about 35 immediate and extended family and a very few close family friends (we were going to just go do it at the courthouse, but our kids threatened to disown us if we did it without them!) My son, Michael Patrick, is my best man, Vita’s 15 year old daughter, Mary Catherine, is her maid of honor, and her 16 year old son, Brian, is giving the bride away. Our 2 year old grandson is going to be the ring bearer. We are being married by a judge though – since Vita’s Catholic and I’m United Methodist.

The reception will immediately follow the wedding ceremony at Featherstone's. Like the wedding ceremony, the reception will be casual - focusing on fellowship and will culminate in a simple sit-down meal for our guests.
