This was not your ordinary story on how to loved ones met, nor did I mention that these were two ordinary people. Derrick, a Texas boy living in Tacoma, Washington that was experiencing a lost path in his life due to an unhealthy relationship. Stubborn as heck he just wanted to be left alone, and without his knowledge a former friend decided to make him a profile on what the world can never stop "Myspace". As a joke Derrick found out that his friend had done it until he got a message from Jamie, a Native Outgoing Washington girl. They started chatting for a while, and then it came to talking on the phone for months and then actually having the courage to meet up, and from there on they were attached to the hip.
On May 28, 2005 two friends, Jamie and Derrick decided to take on the world and its obstacles together as one. In todays society it is not easy for an interracial couple especially with all the negativity, culture and politics. With that in mind the young couple have decided to do what it takes and overcome unpredictable events in life that have been thrown at them. In every relationship there are it's ups and downs, no one said it would be easy but true love can not be broken. The two were like two peas in a pod and could not bare to be parted from each other; for they were like a half of a person and together made one great individual, eventhough that may have annoyed others in there life. Everyone that knew them, knew they were going to be together, and have always questioned and pestered when is the big day going to happen. Then one night non traditional Derrick asked Jamie to marry him on the same way that she had first talked to him on "Myspace". She said yes even though she vowed she would never ever would be type of girl to get married. So they decided why not the day they were first together as a couple to be the first day they spend the rest of their lives together.
We both decided why not get married at the place we both love Ocean Shores. Ocean Shores is not your ordinary place its our place. A place that lets us forget about our problems just live life a day at a time. We both love the water and the mountains and you get the best of both both worlds. We go there every year and have a great time, and we would want to share just one more memory of this wonderful place with our friends and family for this wedding extravaganza.

I would like to thank everyone, friends and family for gathering together to celebrate our special moment in our new journey of life together. May we have many stories to tell and share with each other for the rest of our lives.
