Heather Anderson & Dwane Cook
Our Story
Dwane and I meet 5 years ago when he took over the Martial Arts school I was training in. We had our moments of fun and laughter as well as those when we hated each other. Through it all it turned out that we only had each other in times of troubles to turn to. Time and time again we found ourselves turning to one another for guidance because of hardships at work, relationship diffuiculties, issues of daily life, and not to mention the issues that would occur at TKO (Martial Arts School). Over the years we grew closer together and really learned that we did love and care about each other, more than our Instructor-Student relationship. We eventually bought a house together and continued to grow together as Martial Arts Instructors and as boyrfriend and girlfriend. Finally, after 2 years of spending every night together at the School and learning what it was like to spend all of our time together, Dwane asked me to marry him by writing me a poem on Christmas Eve 2008. I first said no, just to be funny, and then with a tear in my eye, said yes. And the rest of our story is still being written....
