Our Story

Our Story... Hmm well, our story starts one evil night at the Driftwood.
Her Side: It all started with Laura. She wanted me to go out with her to the local “hole in the wall” to see her boyfriend, do his KJ gig & to spend some much needed time together. Plus, she knew I had a crap B-day & was still pissed. Nothing cures moody like alcohol & Karaoke. She picked me up on the way but I had a back-up plan. I called Vero to meet me there & be my get away driver and ride home. I mean really, who wanted to see kissy, huggy, love crap all night. I am, at a bar, crappy mood, nothing to look at, no-one with a full set of teeth. Us three girls are sitting there when this guy saunters over to the table, pulls out a chair & starts talking to Laura. I guess they knew each other, but really? How many jokes can one guy have? Did he study the book before walking in? Good Lord! Who invited this self proclaimed comic relief to sit down? Why is his hair green? What, Super Rooster? How annoying. Why is he talking to me? Can’t he see I’m not interested? Why is V joking with him? She’s just encouraging him to stick around. This is so not making my mood any better. Now I’m buzzing, more annoyed, hungry & ready to leave. Great now he’s following us out. K. We’re in the car, stop talking now. We’re done, Bye now. 2 weeks later I’m in the bar again for a friends birthday, & who do I see, the green haired rooster himself. You know what, He’s kinda cute, kinda funny and this time, I kinda want to know him better. I guess you can say God opened my eyes
His Side: I went to the dive bar I had been frequenting and saw no one I knew except for Laura, the KJ’s girlfriend, who I’d met a couple of times. She was sitting with 2 girls, so I asked if I could join them. I wasn’t looking to hit on anybody; I just wanted a quick drink & then I was going home. When I sat down, I noticed one of the girls eating Flaming Hot Cheetos , so I started joking with “cheeto”. The other girl (who really caught my eye) was pretty much glaring & rolling her eyes at me all night but I didn’t care. My jokes are always funny (he says tongue in cheek). So I continued to be my charming self, but the angry one did not succumb to my charms. So when we were all leaving the bar, I was rudely dismissed by the beautiful but pissed off girl. She informed me they were “gonna go eat now so bye”. What? Everyone likes me. I’m not going to let her get away with thinking I’m a green haired dork, so I said to myself that if I ever saw her again, I would make her like me….and much to my surprise, 2 weeks later, I did.

Our Wedding

Our ceremony will be atimeless and elegant event at Sanat Cruz Church at 3:00 PM. My real life fairytale wedding. It is only a matter of time until I take those first steps down the aisle in my wedding dress to meet Danny at the alter to become Mrs. Daniel Stevens! This will be an event to remember and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!

Our Reception

Our reception will be fun & fabulous! Please join us and celebrate our new lives as Mr. and Mrs. Stevens! There will be drinks, dancing, live entertainment, good times for all! Our wedding reception will follow our ceremony at El Casino Ballroom beginning at 8:30 PM. We hope to see everyone there!
