We met at a People to People meeting, which meant that we were definitely going to be doing some heavy duty traveling together that summer. I was ready to take a gamble and lay on the flirt; when I found out he had a girlfriend I was crushed! But I could tell at that same moment that he was crushed too. The next day he broke up with his girlfriend and when the phone rang at 8pm to let me know the deal was done, I remember saying to myself, "Kate, when you pick up this phone the rest of your life is going to begin." We've been inseperable ever since.

We are getting married at Mike's parents' church in downtown Rochester. God bless the Methodists! I was beginning to feel, "We're not worthy!!"

Immediately following the ceremony we will all head to Pettruzello's for six hours of movin' and grovin'...a little bit of smoochin' too. Our song is Wild Horses by the Stones (although I love the Sundays version much better). The bridal party song is Modern Love by Bowie. Aren't we special.

I can't wait! We have the best florist! The best pastery chef! The best parents and friends! And, oops! The best of each other too! Awe.......

Travelocity hooked our honeymoon up. It was quite a debacle getting everything ready though. First the hurricane, then the incompetent, outsourced India branch. We actually ended up with the an amazing trip! Secrets Excellence is like the Ritz and the Mayan Riveria is beautiful! I like the history, Mike likes the snorkeling, and booze cruise!
