Our Story

How We Met ~ My friend and college roommate Lindsey wanted me to call her friend and old work buddy Aaron. I finally did one night, but unfortunately it was the day before he left for the Navy in California. After three weeks in California he deployed to the Persian Gulf for 8 months. Although we couldn't talk on the phone we had a good amount of time to get to know each other through email. After returning to land he went back to California for 7 more months, but atleast this time we could talk on the phone. In Feb 2008 Aaron came back to Gillette Wy, I was living in Casper. After talking on a daily bases for over a year, it was finally time to meet. I Texted him and said "roadtrip" and he showed up at my door :) We talked all weekend, and the next weekend, and the next...!
The Proposal ~ Aaron wanted to take me to Deadwood to stay at his parent's cabin before Christmas. Friday night we stayed with his parents, and Saturday morning Aaron said he was going to play poker with his dad while I went shopping with his mom. While we were shopping Aaron was really at the Spearfish canyon lodge renting a room. Later on when "he was done with his poker" he met up with us. He told me he wanted to take me on a drive through the canyon. He brought me to the lodge saying he always wanted to look inside the building. We toured around the lodge and he stopped at one of the lodge room doors. He said I wonder if the door is open. He opened the door and took me to our room. When I walked in there were notes all around the room. The 2nd to last note said "There is no one I'd rather spend the rest of my life with, look on the bed" and the last one said "look behind you" I turned around and he was on his knee with a ring in his hand! Of course I said Yes! :) We had so much fun that night! I don't think I slept! I was so excited!!
