Adriana Cook & Robert Jenson - August 7th, 2010
Location: Regan Beach, Tahoe
Well, our wedding was definitely memorable! God spoke at our wedding. Well, that's my story, anyways. :)

As the wedding grew closer, the clouds grew darker, and the bride (that's me!) grew more and more panicked. We were running behind with getting ready (very normal by my standards) and Mom shows up an hour before the limo was to arrive needing help getting ready. Thank God I had my wonderful friends and family there to lend a hand.

I get to the site of the ceremony a nervous wreck and go stand by Dad. He's supposed to be the strong one! He wound up in tears, and I lost it. Luckily, our photographer thought of tissue, because I sure didn't. :)

The ceremony was about to start. Where's Mom? In case you've ever wondered where I get my "not so fashionably late" characteristics from - yes, my mother. The rain was right around the corner; Dad said he could smell it coming, and a couple of my uncles said we have to start the wedding right away. But Robert said no way! He was not starting without my mom, because he'd have to hear it from us two ladies for the rest of his life. So we not so patiently waited....and she arrived with a standing ovation about 15 minutes later.

The ceremony was beautiful. My husband was so, so fine. My ladies were very beautiful, and the gents were wonderfully handsome.

So, it was nice and calm, and the wedding party walked down the aisle. Then, the guests stood and the music started. And so did the wind. It looks pretty cool on our video, actually. And when we were saying our vows, the thunder clapped so loud that it sound like it came down and smacked Lake Tahoe in the ass. :)

You know, with the pattern of my life, there's no way our wedding would be any other thing than chaotic. Chaotically perfect.

We were to have the reception at the ceremony site, which was a beautiful location in South Lake Tahoe, right on the beach. Robert's mom did an amazing job making sure it was set up beautifully. And the moment the ceremony was over, everyone pulled together to make sure it was all picked up within 15 minutes. We got a few good pics in, and it was back to the Horizon Hotel! Thankfully, they allowed us to continue the reception in their bar, and to set up our food and everything. So, everyone got to eat, and then everyone headed out.

We met up with a lot of friends and family later, and partied the night away. Wow, we were partying with so many brides, grooms, wedding parties, bachelors, and bachelorettes. Oh, and I got a picture with a Michael Jackson impersonator. How cool is that? Well, it's a few months after the wedding and so far, so good. We have noticed that we are constantly being asked, "So, how's married life?" Does anyone know when that stops? :)

We want to thank you for being in our lives, and supporting our love for each other. We deeply appreciate that you took the time to visit our website.
