Our Story

Ours is truly a love story of modern times. Gabe and I actually met online while he lived in Knoxville, TN and I, Kimberly, lived in Hendersonville, NC. We talked for quite a few months then lost touch. In May of 2008 Gabe contacted me out of the blue and we started talking again. We were both ready to take the leap of faith that comes with finally meeting in July of that year. We made countless trips back and forth across the mountains - anyone who has driven I-40 between NC and TN knows we must have really liked eachother to keep that up!! In January of 2009 when I spent New Years in Knoxville we made the decision that we were ready to move in with eachother and that I would move to Knoxville. We were still making trips back and forth because I worked a notice and wanted to finish out my lease on my apartment, but at least now there was a light at the end of the tunnel. In March of 2009 Gabe made an oddly big deal out of coming to visit me for St.Patrick's Day.. I mean, I'm irish and all but it's not like the Irish Christmas or something. I just didn't get it, but I wasn't going to turn down a visit from him! On St.Patrick's Day he surprised me by getting to my apartment early. We were trying to figure out our plans for the night and I noticed he had moved his claddagh to his left hand so I made a comment of "So, are you married or something?" to which he responded "Well, actually..." and proceded to get down on one knee in front of me. I cannot for the life of me tell you what he said, only that everything he said was the sweetest, most genuine thing I had ever heard. Then came the bling. Anyone who knows me really well knows how picky I am about jewelry and how I never wanted something "normal" for an engagement ring... Well, he hit the nail on the head! I got the most gorgeous ring, but the best thing I got was definitely the guy!

Our Wedding

Our wedding is taking place in Hendersonville, NC. We are getting married in a small church downtown.

Travel Arrangements

If anyone needs a hotel to stay at, feel free to e-mail me, Kimberly, at lhiannon_sidhe@bellsouth.net and I will be more than happy to help find what you are looking for in both convenience and amenities.
For more information on what to do (other than attend our wedding, of course!) in Hendersonville, you can look at the city's website here: http://www.hendersonville.com There are a lot of really neat shops downtown and nearby Asheville offers historical sites like the Biltmore House, the Grove Park Inn, and the Grove Arcade. If this is your first, and possibly only, trip to the mountains of western North Carolina I highly suggest you make the most of your trip and do some exploring.

A Special Message From Us
