Jamal and I met in 8th grade in p.e. class, as you can imagine, i was looking terrible! I had on baggy shorts, and one of my dads old t shirts. When we first started talking, he did have a girlfriend :), but that did not stop me from talking to him as friends. After about a week or so we started to write letters to eachother and eventually gave our numbers to eachother. The first time Jamal called me, I answered the phone and he hung up in my face as soon as I said hello!! One thing led to another and then May 19, 2004 and it was a normal day like any other; I was talking on the phone with Jamal and he asked mr, "what would you say if I asked you out?" The first thing out of my mouth was, "Don't you have a girlfriend?" He then said "No, I broke up with her so that I could ask you out!" I was completly shocked and happy by what he had just said, so of course I replied "Well if you were asking, I would say yes!!!". Ever since then we have been together for 5 years now and in about a year we will be getting married!!
