Jennifer and I met when we were in middle school, right around 7th grade. We actually met at a "glee" club performance, where our two schools got together to put on a concert. I was a big fan from the beginning.

In the summer of 2007, I went over seas to the pacific for a tour of US military bases. After years of being just friends, Jennifer and I decided to get more serious right before I left for that trip. While in one part of Japan, I ran across a ring with the most beautiful blue Topaz stone in it. I wasn't looking for it, but I knew right then that this was the ring that I would use to ask Jennifer to marry me.

The trip lasted for a month. After trying to figure out the best way to ask, I just broke down. I couldn't wait to ask, so I didn't. When we arrived home that night, I got on both knees and asked her if she would marry me. Lucky me, she said yes. We've since, redesigned her ring with that blue Topaz stone and a diamond of the same size and are living happily ever after.
