Troy & Tina Flud

Our Story

Troy & Tina have known each other for a decade or more since we both work for the the Modesto Bee; he for 16 years, she for 11 years. However in December of 2005 we ran into each other in the upstairs dining facility, the Beestro, and we talked for over an hour during our half hour lunch break. Troy being the rebel broke all company policy by asking Tina out (hit on her) via company email. Good thing she said yes to having lunch the following day instead of going to Human Resources. We hit it off immediately and started dating. During the summer of 2006 we all moved into a rental house in Ceres; Tina, Troy and his two great kids. Raquel, 14 & Trent, 10. We then bought our current home in late 2007; which will be the location of the upcoming wedding and reception.

Our Wedding

Our wedding and reception is going to be held at our house. 1004 Zinfandel Pl. Modesto, Ca 95351. We wanted to have a very fun, casual, laid back wedding and reception. We also wanted to landscape and upgrade our very spacious backyard instead of renting a chapel and/or hall. With the idea of creating our own tropical oasis. Since we both love to travel and with our two favorite destinations being Hawaii and the Caribbean/Riviera Maya/Mexico we are planning to have our ceremony and reception infused with the tropic spirit of both. The attire for the evening is "island casual". Everyone is highly encouraged to follow the bride & grooms lead and wear Khaki's/bermuda shorts, hawaiin shirts, Sandals or flip-flops.

Our Reception

We are planning to have approximately 80 guests. The ceremony will take place at 6pm and dinner will be served by 7pm. Dinner will be a Riviera Mayan style buffet. We are planning to have 80 or so guests. An open bar, DJ & dancing will be in full swing until 11p.
