We met in the Army in 2003. Our unit was preparing to go overseas, and in the middle of it, we fell in love. Joe went to California for 9 months with the unit, and Heidi got released from duty. We were engaged July 22, 2004, at Country Jam in Eau Claire, WI, and Heidi was called to Active Duty again that October. FINALLY, we were able to begin planning when she got home in December of 2005. We live in Janesville with Lane (obviously) and the dog, Wendy, and the cat, Simba.

We are getting married at the Rotary Gardens in Janesville at 2pm. Yes, in a garden, attire is comfy, wear sunscreen, sunglasses and garden-friendly shoes. The Rotary Gardens is a 20-acre international themed botanic garden. To get there, Take I-90 to Janesville, Exit 175A onto Racine Street. The first set of stoplights is the Palmer Drive intersection. Reception is at the Holiday Inn Express in Janesville. To get there, take I-90 to exit 171C. Depending on which way you are coming from, either turn right, or merge right onto US-14/Humes Rd. Turn Right onto Deerfield (by Fuddrucker's), turn right onto Welllington.
From the ceremony, just get back on I-90 West and exit 171C.

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn Express, call 608-756-3100 and mention the Oelfke/Bergey wedding for a discount. There is also a Microtel Inn very nearby. Hungry? We love Milio's (subs) and Red Robin (casual). Janesville is the city of parks, so if you are looking for something to do, there are plenty of trails to walk or bike. A lot of good playground equipment for the kids. And of course, The Rotary Gardens is very nice to walk through, if you come a little early, you can stroll through the gardens before the ceremony and afterwards too while we're smilin' for the camera.
