Mike and Alexandria met at On the Border where they both worked. They became fast friends and began dating 2 weeks before Alex was to graduate college at National Park and move back to Texas. Alex graduated and moved as planned then Mike followed just to see where the relationship might go. Michael Gene Johnson asked Alexandria Tracy Gimlin-Hall to marry him in July of 2005. They have been extremely busy both at work and planning the wedding of their dreams. Both Alex and Mike work at Habitat for Humanity. After the couple wed they plan to move out of Dallas to the country and commute.

Mike and Alex will be joined by "the tying of hands" at the Old Mill Wedding Chapel in Hot Springs. The chapel is nestled in the scenic mountains of Hot Springs National Park's Gulpha Gorge.

The reception will follow directly with catering by the Haute Chocolatier. On Tuesday January 2nd the couple will leave for Las Vegas on honeymoon.
