We met amost two years ago in a trendy little resuarant in downtown Boise. At that time, we knew we might be a good match because we both had black dogs (Kota and Moses), enjoyed outdoor activities (yes it's true that Sarah Snowboarded over 35 times in a year!), and were working professionals, both had resently graduated not that long ago. With Sarah's sweet heart, and Scott's caring disposition (some people may not agree), things we were destine to succesed. We can still remember our first dates...(1) walking the dogs in the foothills when Kota, Moses, and Buzz first met, (2) Fondue at the Mona Lisa, a romatic start to our relationship, when Sarah missplaced her keys and Scott got to lift her into her kitchen window, (3) Dinner at Scott's house when first Sarah tasted Chuckar!

We have selected Eastwind Community Church in East Boise. It is a newer church with vaulted ceilings and large picture windows to frame the beautiful view of the Boise foothills. It has the quaint, but open atmosphere we wanted. Our wedding will have a winter theme with red and white colors, Christmas Trees, Poinsettias, and wreaths all over the church. Sarah’s good friends from College, Becca and Ryan Notbohm will be the pastors for our ceremony. Tom Zimmerman (Scott’s younger brother) will be the Bestman, and Melissa Riehl (Sarah’s older sister) will be the Maid of Honor. Braden Anderson (Sarah’s twin brother), and Melissa Frien (Scott’s younger sister) will also be in the wedding. Anna Riehl, and Alyssa Zimmerman will star as the cute little flower girls

The reception will also be at Eastwind Community Church immediately after the ceremony. We will serve a light dinner, cake, and of course hot apple cider or hot chocolate. We are looking forward to visiting with everyone during the reception and hope you will see us off at the end. Scott has promised he will ride away in a drift boat, but Sarah’s not so sure, she might be leaving alone…to be continued. By the way, Tom Z, watch out for that guarder, it’s aimed straight at you!

We plan on traveling to Costa Rica. Neither of us have ever been south of Texas, but we understand that there are many things to do like river rafting, horseback riding, skywalks through the jungle, nature walks, relaxing on the beach, and enjoying the local culture. Scott’s even trying to convince Sarah to spend a day fishing….good luck! We plan on going at the end of March for about 10 days when Sarah is on spring break. It will be a perfect break from a long cold Boise winter!

Thank you for taking the time to visit this website. We understand that traveling during the holidays can be very difficult for several reasons so we understand if you can’t make it and you will be missed. Also, thanks for considering donating to our honeymoon fund. Because we are older we already have many of the things that are needed to start a life together, but we don’t have the means to do everything we wanted to do on a honeymoon. With your help we will enjoy something special that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
