From the port of Athinios we head by caique to the volcano to see the active crater! Then to the hot springs of Palea Kameni for a dip, the island of Thirassia, and finally the most incredible sunset on the world.

We're so excited for this! It's a one day cooking course that teaches a little about the history of the cuisine and wine on the Cycladic islands, and highlights the unique local produce that resulted. Ok, Mythology buffs - who remembers King Minos (the bad one, not the first one, who was so good the gods made him one of the Judges of the Dead)? After pissing off Poseidon, he made Daedalus build a Labyrinth, and then came Theseus to save the day (and the sacrificial Athenians), kill the Minotaur, and run off with the girl(who saved his butt). Help us see what's left of the legend!!

Akrotiri is one of the most famous excavations in Greece, and brought to light a Minoan town preserved under the pumice for 3000 years. Excavations are ongoing, and archaeologists debate whether this could be the lost city of Atlantis (probably not, but we want to see it anyway!). This tour will also take us to the Prophet Elias Monastery, Perivolos Beach for swimming and lunch, and the Canava winery, located on the rim of the caldera. Educational and fun!

The Reef is pretty cool, but Paros and Naxos are renowned! We can't wait to swim with the fishies (instead of just sticking my arm in the fish tank)!

Delos, despite only being five square kilometers in size, is a must-see. Birthplace of Apollo, the island was both an important commercial and religious center throughout antiquity, and is one of the best-preserved and largest open-air archaeological sites of Europe. This will certainly require more than one visit!

This one time, Drew threw Faerie off the back of a jet-ski. She's going to let him rent another one anyway.

Even though Faerie is almost 85 years old and likes to go to bed early, we will spend at least one night enjoying the nightlife in Fira.

We don't want to cut our international flight to close, so we'll wind down the last days of our honeymoon in Zürich before we head home.

We'll be there for 3 weeks - why not give us that veranda facing the sunset over the caldera?

We'll have a lot to celebrate!

It's our honeymoon... let us be a little lazy, and treat us to some local fare from the comfort of our room before we see the sights (and the beach).

"1800" is one of the most famous restaurants in Oia, and is known as a "living museum" that takes you back to the ambiance of the last century. Treat us to dinner on the roof garden, while we enjoy a view of the sea surrounding the volcano island.

Who knows where we'll end up - but it'll be delicious!

Kallisti Restaurant is considered by many to be the best on the island. It is one of the most traditional eateries, serving authentic dishes, and would make a delicious addition to our honeymoon!

With a market just down the street, we'll need to stock up on a few groceries for picnics and late-night snacks.

Santorini is known to be a particularly tasty location. The volcanic soil and micro-climate allow for unique flavors in the food and wine. Treat us to some local cuisine!

Gas isn't cheap - and neither is airfare! Help us out with the first leg of our journey.

I don't mind walking DOWN the half-a-dozen hundred plus steps to get the old port, but getting back UP to Fira (altitude 220m) will be much easier using either the scenic cable car or the traditional mule ride.

We will ferry to Mykonos round trip at least twice, because this island is the gateway to Delos. While we're there, we'll be sure to visit Petros the Pelican (seriously. it's the island's mascot), the famous Paraportiani church, and the many 16th century windmills near the harbor.

Day trips to the best snorkeling in the islands will keep us busy. The more time on the water, the better!

From Crete, our honeymoon destination is only a high-speed catamaran away!

After we relax on the train, we'll be ready to get to the islands. Color us crazy, but we plan on bypassing Athens and heading straight to Crete, just south of our island of choice.

What better way to see the sites on Crete than on our own motorcycle? We can enjoy the Mediterranean air while we arrive in style.

We'll be taking the Cisalpino Train through the mountains as we make our way to Santorini. It will be a great way for us to relax and let the honeymoon sink in!

Hi. Have you met Faerie? She's about as pale as pale can be, except when she's redder than a Maine lobster fresh from the pot. Help her recover from harsh days of lounging in the Mediterranean with a nourishing spa treatment that will calm and cool her poor Irish skin. Fortunately for Drew, he tans.

Don't make us come home with only a snow globe and a sunburn to remember our honeymoon by. We would love to get something that will remind us for years to come of this experience (and all the loved ones that made it possible!)

Even though Greece isn't known for it's wardrobe requirements on the beach, Faer will still need a cute swimsuit and wrap to wear on the way! (Matching flip flops wouldn't hurt either.) And Drew will need a Speedo if he wants to fit in.

Indulge Faerie with a local massage specialty - hot stone therapy overlooking the water, sea salt scrub, or mud wrap - it makes no difference, she loves them all. (and wants them all)

It's not romantic, but don't make Faerie carry all the luggage - her arms will snap off! Although, let's be serious, Drew will be carrying anything heavy, so let's ease the burden for him, and help us ship our luggage to Santorini!

Local newspapers are the best way to find fun activities and get to know the island. Magazines and books will also occupy our time as we relax and enjoy our surroundings.

We'll definitely need to stock up on sunglasses, hats, sunblock, Noni gel, chapstick - all the necessities to keep us outside longer without burning!

But Taiping is. Regardless, we're going to Greece, but there will still be a need for plenty of secret handshakes with money in them.

A travel book is always a good idea - Greg recommends we get the Lonely Planet series, and, after all, he didn't stock the travel section at Barnes & Noble one summer for nothing.

We'll need something to entertain us on the plane, train, and ferry. Travel Scrabble anyone? Even better.... Super Travel Scrabble! Maybe I'll get Drew to learn cribbage yet....

With a travel journal, we can be sure to remember all the wonderful places we saw and experienced, and can then drive you nuts telling you all about it when we get back!
