This thrilling four-wheel-drive journey will take us where breathtaking landscapes and traditional culture are just waiting to be discovered! We will experience the spectacular scenery, lives of rural Costa Ricans that have barely changed over the years, secluded soft silver-sand beaches, exotic flora and fauna and many quaint little villages. Sounds like honeymoon fun!

Our adventure starts with a hike along the coast, making our way into the tropical forest to a streaming waterfall on the Rio Claro where we will ride down the river on inner tubes to a pristine beach to soak up some sun and take a nice refreshing dip, snorkel and enjoy a romantic picnic lunch! The grand finale, a well-deserved afternoon boat ride to complete our honeymoon outing!

We will take advantage of the beautiful ocean after a short drive to a secluded silver sand beach where we will kayak along the coastline, watching exotic birds. Landing on a deserted beach, we will have the opportunity to snorkel, exploring the reefs and tropical and brilliantly colored fish. We can't wait!

Floating down the Penas Blancas River, we will discover true peacefulness as we observe monkeys, sloth, iguanas, turtles, crocodiles and many species of birds. Rowing quietly and gently down the river will enable us to take photos, enjoying the sounds of nature, sipping on a drink and indulging on the local tropical fruits and not even disturbing the animals!

An experience we will never forget! We will be discovering magnificent views of the forest and river as we take an aerial tram to explore Butterfly Garden and the palm and cactus collection, a countryside farm and its herbarium. After that, we will enjoy the taste of real home made Costa Rican cuisine cooked over a wooden stove at the Garabito Restaurant! After our flare of flavorful foods, we will continue onto the lookout point of the Tarcoles River where we will witness the beautiful orchid garden!

We will browse the boutique store and pick up a few local handicrafts and souvenirs as mementoes from our honeymoon.

A scooter is a fun and casual way to see the sights of our honeymoon destination. No need to fix our hair for this trip!
