Our story is kind of a interesting yet ironic one. It all began on Jan 7 2006, Nicole was at her apartment being convinced by one of her roommates to go out to a club with her. Nicole was not in the mood and didn't have anything to wear and just took some braids out of her hair. But after 4 hours of convincing and a miracle she decided to ablige her roommate and go to the club called Cabana. Upon arrival there were a lot of people there and Nicole was not in the mood so she decided to head to the bar grab a drink and stand off to the side of the dance floor. Her roommate was on the prowl of finding a man and Nicole was satisfied being single and chilling by herself. Nicole happen to glance straight ahead and locked eyes with a fine, light-skinned, black curly head, good looking gentlemen who was dancing with some girl. Nicole kept her eyes affixed upon him and was thinking "dang this dude looks good, he got to be taken". Nicole and this mystery man starred probably for about 4 songs straight and neither one made a move. Nicole's roommate came over and was wondering what she was starring at and Nicole explained and her roommate walked away. The club was ending and Nicole and her roommate went to grab their coats and the mystery man disappeared. Nicole was thinking "oh well maybe next time" and then upon her walking out of the door this mystery man appeared. They talked, exchanged numbers and conversated for a month straight before initating a date. Their first date the typical movie and dinner and from that point they have been inseparable. They clicked and meshed and learned to be friends and get to know eachother before rushing anything. Well 8 months later, this mystery man whom is now named Tyler, popped the question (details can not be given on how) and here we are now, a baby and a year and a half later, still happily in love and anticipating our wedding day.
Our wedding and reception will all be held in one building, Berwick Manor and Party House. It will be easier for our dj and all of our guests if we stay in one building, plus it makes for an easier transition from ceremony to reception. Plan to havre a good time, be enterained and enjoy yourself at our one of a kind, not so typical and traditional ceremony. We want to see laughing, smiling, dancing and drinking, none of this crying and "what are they thinking" attitudes, please leave those at home. Our ceremony will begin around 530pm on April 5 so please begin to arrive around 445 to 5pm, for the room will not be ready any earlier than 445pm. The attire is comfortable, you don't necessarily have to be suited and booted but dress casual at least. Please Please Please make sure you RSVP because we are paying per plate and if you don't RSVP then you are responsible at the time of check in to pay for your own plate on the spot or you will not be able to attend until after dinner is served. This is extremely important.
Our reception is immediately following the ceremony. The wedding party will depart for approximately 45mins to take pictures at a local park before dark, in the mean time, guests are free to endulge on the appetizers, drinks and one's company until our arrival. Once wedding party returns, food will be served which is a buffet style, all you can eat. There will be various stations set up all along the room so pay attention. Our menu is very unique and probably something you have never experienced before, that's all we can tell you. We hope you enjoy because Berwick is known for their excellent food. While dinner is being served there will be toasts from the wedding party, our welcome and thank yous to our guests, our first dance, our dance with our son, cake cutting, bouquet and garter throw, soul train line, hustle line, drinks and bottle popping, and anything else that can happen at a reception, will.
