We met at Alecia's Junior Prom and John's Senior Prom. We both went with seperate dates and ended up coming home together. From that night on we were inseperable. We were together everyday until John had to leave for BootCamp. It was then a LONG three months apart, without being able to talk to each other. Then school for 5 more months and finally he was home for goodin the middle of July of 2006! Since I helped John achieve his goal of becoming a Marine he is helping me to achieve my goal and become an elementary teacher. He is a huge help. We are very much alike in many ways. We like the same things and dislike the same things. I guess that's why he propsed. We went to dinner at Tippacanoe Place for our two year anniversary. He decided to be slick and say why don't we go to walk down by the river. Well, since we met at the Century Center it sounded good. I was so cold. I didn't bring a coat and I was wearing a dress. I was ready to leave by the time we got down by the water fall, but he had other plans. We standing there reminising about the night we met and the next thing I know he is down on one knee. Of course I said yes. But what was he thinking keeping a ring box in his sock, since he couldn't keep it in his pocket because he had his uniform on? He's just crazy!! But that's why we love each other.
Our Wedding is going to be a more traditional wedding. We are having our ceremony in a church at Holy Family on Mayflower road in South Bend. Father Bernard Galic is going to be the priest that will marry us. I went to school at Holy Family for 9 years. I couldn't see myself getting married anywhere else. Although we wanted a more traditional wedding as time goes on it gets less traditional. We do have a couple things that are not so traditional and that is, I have two maids of honor and John has two best men. It's our wedding we can do what we want. Our colors our Red and White and John is definately going to be in his Dress Blues *How Hott*. Any ways we are still trying to figure out what time the ceremony is going to be but I do know that it will be in the afternoon some time. We hope to see you there.
Our reception is also going to be held at Holy Family, but this time it is in the Hall just across the parking lot. I went to school there for nine years, it is going to be weird having my wedding reception in the same room that I played kick ball for so many years. We can't wait. The dinner will be family Polish style (the best dinner ever). We have to have a polish wedding I mean we both come from families that would make us even if we didn't want to. There will be a D.J. thanks to John's Uncle Jesse who will be our D.J. for the night. I can't forget about the chocolate fountain that my dad is going to get me. I've always wanted a chocolate fountain at my wedding and now my dad is going to get me one!!! Other than that Our reception is going to be so much fun with all of our family and friends, We cant wait to celebrate with you.
I know a lot of my family is out of town but I do wish that all of you could come to celebrate with us. If you need help finding a room or somewhere to stay just let me know....
Our honeymoon plans are as of right now booked for a Junior Swim-Up suite for 6 night and 7 days at the El Dorado Royale in Rivera Maya, Mexico. We got a great deal on this resort and couldnt pass it up. The only thing is we dont leave until July 6th. We decided to wait until my 21st birthday so we could go out and have a couple of drinks together. The only thing is now my sister is due to have my neice the day we get home. That baby better wait till I'm here!!!
We hope that all of you can help us celebrate our special day. We look forward to seeing you at our wedding on May 10, 2008. If you are unable to make it just know that we love you and miss you. We appreciate all that everyone has done for us in helping us to get this far. Thank-you for supporting us in what we want to do. You have helped us get this far in life and we couldn't have done it wihout all of you.
