Mitch is 25 and works for Emery Sapp and Sons construction company. Melissa is 24, works for the University of Missouri, and is a student at MU working on a degree in Personal Finance. We met at Paris Bar in March 2001. We had been checking each other out for weeks before Mitch finally got the nerve to ask my name, and after that we talked for hours until the place closed. The next day we had lunch at the Bull Pen Cafe, and have been in love ever since!
We got engaged in August 2004 - I had just returned from an amazing 2-week trip to Singapore. Apparently Mitch missed me like crazy, because as soon as we got home from the airport he presented me with a Little Blue Box with a beautiful diamond ring inside, and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes immediately!

After planning our wedding for about 6 months and experiencing a few setbacks and all of the stress involved, we have decided to ELOPE! We have canceled the photography and catering, and tossed the seating chart, and are now planning a Wedding/Honeymoon on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico! Believe me, planning this is a whole lot more fun!

We are sorry that we won't get to have all of our family and friends at our ceremony to witness our vows, and party down afterward with us, but we think that Mexico is the best way to go. Don't worry, we will be planning a celebration once we get back, and would love for you all to come celebrate with us!
