Location: Westhampton Beach, Long Island
[EMILY'S STORY]
Emily was born in Wuhan, a city on the Yangzi River in China. She studied at Wuhan Foreign Languages School, where she spent the most carefree time of her life and made wonderful life-time friends. She went to Fudan University in Shanghai for her undergraduate study in English Language and Literature. It was an inspiring and enriching experience. After leaving Shanghai, she came to East Lansing, Michigan to study for her master degree in TESOL. After that, she came to New York to gain her second master in Applied Linguistics. Right now, she is an instructor of Chinese in the East Asian Studies Department at New York University. Besides languages, Emily also enjoys exploring the dynamic New York City, traveling, meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds.

[JERRY'S STORY]
Jerry was born in Chen Zhou, a city in south of Hunan province. His memory of childhood was filled with naughty children pranks played with his younger sister and school friends. In high school, he excelled in his school work and went to study Electrical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan. During his undergraduate study, while improving his skills in computer games, Jerry also developed an interest in industrial management and finance. In 2005, he came to study his Master degree in Industrial Engineering at Columbia University. Upon his graduation in 2006, he went to work as a Trading Analyst at Natixis SA in New York. Besides playing with numbers, Jerry also likes skating, traveling, listening to Jazz music, and dreaming of creating a robot company of his own.

[HOW WE MET]
Jerry and Emily met in the Chinese Bible Study Group for Columbia students. They knew each other for one year and half before a romantic relationship gradually evolved as they were teamed together to coordinate events and gatherings for the group in the Fall of 2006.

[THE ENGAGEMENT]
There were some hints and practices of the coming proposal in November but the real story happened on Dec. 31, 2007. It was in Del Mar, a beautiful small town near San Diego, California. It has been a year after their first visit to this town in last winter. Jerry took Emily to a restaurant with an ocean view. While they were enjoying the view and food, the waiter brought on the dessert, chocolate mousse cake with vanilla ice cream. On the edge of the plate, "Will You Marry Me?" was written in chocolate. Jerry took out the ring and proposed. Emily, surprised and amazed, accepted the proposal.

The wedding ceremony is held at the Atlantica Restaurant, in Westhampton Beach, Long Island at 11: 30 a.m. on Sat, 6/14/08. The ceremony will be followed by an cocktail hour and lunch reception at the same location.

Dear family and friends, we would like to thank you for all your love and your support to our wedding. Then, we found this honeymoon registry website and we thought it might be a great idea for those of you who feels like to contribute to our wedding. We are planning a dream honeymoon trip to St. Croix in U.S. Virgin Islands. We are truly grateful to everyone of you who are helping us make this dream come true! WE LOVE YOU ALL!
