TOGETHER AFTER 35 YEARS

Claudia Carter and Barry Hulen
Barry and I went to school together. Neither of us remembers talking to each other in high school. We were just aware of each other. We became reacquainted through email when Barry was helping locate classmates for our 35th class reunion. When he emailed me through classmates.com I didn't answer him for about two weeks. When I did, I told him as briefly as possible what I had been doing the past 35 years. We e-mailed each other every day for the next seven months! We became good friends during that time. That was in March of 2006. Beginning in December of 2006, we started visiting each other every other month or so. He would fly to Texas or I would fly to Missouri. We did this for a year and a half, each of us coordinating time off from work with the other one's schedule. Then, in April of 2008, Barry made it official and proposed to me. I have two children who just graduated from high school the end of May. I have to sell my house, quit my job and get my children situated in their new lives. Barry has to get his house ready to put on the market and our plans are as soon as his house sells, build a new house in Blue Springs. All this and plan a wedding for August 8, 2008, in Blue Springs, Missouri, while I (Claudia) still reside in New Braunfels, Texas. I won't move to Blue Springs until after my son graduates from basic training in the Air Force on July 25, 2008. I should arrive in Missouri about July 28, 2008, which will give me about 10 days to finish planning the wedding!
Unity Village Chapel, only immediate family and Pastor Bob. 6:00 PM, August 8, 2008.

We would like anyone from our high school who knew about our story to come to our reception even if you did not receive an invitation. Forgive us if you were not personally invited. We may not have had your address (mail or e-mail) but may hear about our big day through the grapevine. If you plan on coming, please RSVP to Barry's e-mail - bhulen@comcast.net - so that we may get a final count for dinner reservations.
