Our Story
It was early October in 2004. I still remember the first time I saw Jon, sitting alone at a local watering hole called Dundee Tavern. He was waiting on a buddy when we were casually introduced by a mutual friend and that was about it. A few weeks later, as fate would have it, I ran into him again, and he asked me if I wanted to go get coffee. Well my first thought was that it was not the coffee drinking hour, and my second was I don't drink coffee, but I was so struck by him (and his beautiful blue eyes) that I said "well I don't drink coffee, but you can walk me home". And so he did. Then I realized, OK he walked me home, but I just met the fella so I need to figure out to get him home.... I ended up borrowing my friends’ car to take him home, and then I backed my friends Lexus right into the telephone poll as I was pulling out of Jon's driveway. I felt like such a dork, but I gave him my number anyway and he called me in the next day or so and asked me to meet him at Churchill Downs. We've spoken to each other just about every day since then. Since we had both been married and hurt in the past there was a slow and steady pace to our courtship, but so they say...slow and steady wins the race. We are best friends and we couldn't even begin to imagine what life would be like without one another.
Our Wedding
We will marry at Calvalry Episcopal Church at 4:30 on October 10, 2009. Calvary is a beautiful historic house of worship located at 821 South 4th Street in Old Louisville. The church was built between 1872 and 1888 and has been a source of comfort and ispiration for many. I am so lookig forward to walking down the aisle with my father and transitioning from Ms. Paula Brinegar to Mrs. Jon Glasford.
Directions to Calvary Episcopal Church - Traveling from 64 West towards downtown
Take the 3rd Street/River Road exit, Exit 5 B. (0.2 mi). Stay straight through the light onto N. 3rd Street through downtown (1.0 mi). Turn Right onto York Street in front of public Library (0.1 mi). Take first Left onto S. 4th Street. 821 S. 4th Street is on the Left. There are two Churches on this block Calvary is NOT the church on the corner of 4th & York.
Traveling from (Indiana) 64 East, take the 9th Street / Roy Wilkins Ave. Exit 4. (0.3 mi). Merge onto S Roy Wilkins Ave. (07. Mi) Turn Left onto W. Broadway (0.5 mi). Turn right onto S 4th St. (0.2 mi). Go through one stop light @ 4th and York and 821 S. 4th Street is on the Left.
Our Reception
Our Reception will be held at another historic landmark in Louisville...The American Legion Highland Post on Bardstown Road. We have the entire upstairs of the cabin rented and are looking forward to an evening of dining, drinks, dancing, entertainment and good times for all! Please join us to celebrate our new lives as husband and wife immediately following the ceremony!

Head North on S 4th St toward York St. (0.2mi)
Turn right at W. Broadway /US-60 /US-60 (1.7mi.)
Turn right at Baxter Ave. /US-150 /US-31E /US-60 (3.5mi)
Continue on this road. Baxter turns into Bardstown Road
Destination 2919 Bardstown Rd. - American Legion Highland Post
