Maria (Luly) Luevano & Nathan (Nate) Zook
Our Story
The love of music and dancing to the rhythm of it brought us to a dance class on a lonely Saturday night. Neither of us had a dance partner so the instructor paired us up together. We had such a great time learning to dance together that we ended up spending the whole night dancing and talking with each other. We had no idea the adventure we were getting into that night. Our relationship started out as a long distance relationship and neither one of us thought that it was going to last. However, we had a bond that held us together. We would talk to each other several times a day and with the help of web cams we were able to see each other every night. We would get together every chance we could and the time we spent together just strengthened our love for one another. We both have similar pasts so we were able to lean on each other and understand how the other one was feeling. The navy life has been had on us. With two deployments and the constant changing schedule we have had to deal with a lot of stress, however, our love for each other is strong and we always talk things through together. Even with all the tough times and time spent apart, we continue to grow in our love for each other and cherish every moment we get to spend together. We still love to go dancing together and do so every chance we get. We have created many wonderful memories together and look forward to a lifetime of creating new memories together.
Our Wedding
We are getting married on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, our 3 year anniversary at Bernardo Winery. The wedding ceremony will start at 4:30 pm but you can start arriving at the Winery as early as 4 pm. Nathan's father will be marrying us so it will be a very personal wedding to us. We will also be saying our own vows.
Our Reception
Our reception will be immediately following the wedding in the same location. We will be serving an Italian themed buffet, so come hungry. We met at a dance class and dancing has become a big part of our lives so you can expect lots of dancing at the reception. There will be a variety of music and dances.
Travel Arrangements
If you are flying in we suggest using the San Diego International Airport. Bernardo Winery is about 30 mins north at 13330 Paseo Del Verano Norte, San Diego, CA 92128. There are several hotels located around the airport and around the winery. We have reserved 10 rooms at the Courtyard Marriott in Rancho Bernardo. Seven of the rooms are double queen rooms and the other three are a single king with a fold out couch bed. We will be staying at this hotel the night of the wedding. They will provide a shuttle to and from the wedding and reception. To make reservations, please call the hotel at 858-613-2000, ask for the reservations department and reference the Luevano/ Zook Room Block to receive the special group rate of $109/night. To get to the winery, just get on I-15 and get off at exit 24. You will take ramp right and follow signs for Rancho Bernardo Rd. Turn right onto Rancho Bernardo rd and travel about a mile then turn left onto CR-S5 North/Pomerado Rd. Travel about .7 miles then turn right onto Paseo del Verano Norte. After about a mile the road name chages to Paseo Del Verano Norte and shortly after that you will arrive at the Winery. If you reach Fonticello Way, you have gone too far.
