Our Story

It all started at a Nickelback/Bon Jovi concert...We were tailgating before hand and I noticed how Steve and my mom were talking...the laughing and joking flowed easily and I saw the look of approval on her face. Steve and I had known of each other for 5 years, but never got the chance to really get to know each other. At that moment a light bulb went off and I was glued to Steve for the rest of the night.

During the concert, we flirted and talked. It turned out, we had a lot in common. Then Nickelback song "Far Away" came on. The lead singer announced the song by saying "This song needs no introduction" and then started to play. I thought I had heard every Nickelback song, but was shocked when I didn't know this one. Steve's reply was "You don't know this song....okay, just listen, you'll love it". Turns out, I did.

After the concert, we tailgated a bit more to let the traffic die down. Steve decided to make my mom's truck his personal loung space. After a little bit, we decided to head back to Steves to shoot pool. This gave Steve and I a chance to flirt some more and were even called out for it by his friends!

The next day, my mom called and asked if I lost a pair of sunglasses, she found them in her trunk. It turned out they fell off of Steve's shirt, so I called him and set up a time to give them back. I met him a few days later, after work. When I dropped them off, I politely asked him if he was hungry? I was headed up to the Mexican Post and offered for him to come. I didn't actually think he'd say yes, but he did. I thought my cousin was going to kill me because I was supposed to go up there to hang out with her. Well, she ended up talking to another friend of hers so I got to talk to Steve the whole night. The more we talked, the more we fell in love.

Two weeks later we were "officially" together and 2 weeks after that, we said "I Love You". I think we both knew from the beginning we would be spending the rest of our lives together.

Our Wedding

The ceremony will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Wilmington, DE at 6pm.

Our Reception

Our wedding reception is an Irish themed wedding to celebrate both of our heritages. With Irish themed invitations, wedding cake, favors, music, and decorations, we hope its a wedding you'll never forget and enjoy each minute of.

The reception will be held at The Hilton Christiana in Newark, DE starting at 7pm.

During the cocktail hour, don't forget to sign our guest book, the photo matte for our wedding photo, and make a prediction of where we'll be in 5 years.

We are so excited that you will be able to join us on our wedding day to celebrate the time when we give our hearts to one another. We have been so blessed to be surrounded by loving family and friends. Without you, our world would be empty. We can't wait to see you on the 19th!
